The video below is my main reference.
The Japanese version is below.
That red thing coming down has to be Bruce Banner.
The way the shot rotates looks like the same anxiety-cranking trick Black Panther used.
Or is it the sorcery treatment from Doctor Strange? lol
In the comics, the one who crashes into Strange’s place is the Silver Surfer.
Judging by who’s in the shot, they’re looking at something in Wakanda.
And there it is, clear as day — Banner dropping straight into Doctor Strange’s house lol
The only goal I know he has
is to wipe out half the galaxy.
If all the Infinity Stones end up in his hands,
he can do it with a snap of his fingers.
This line is massively important!!!
Thanos & The Infinity Gauntlet — Longbox Graveyard
In the comics, the snap is the move Thanos used to kill half the universe, as a gift to Death — the embodiment of death itself, not Hela, Thor’s sister.
The Infinity Gauntlet — Wikipedia
Right here is where the big difference from the comics becomes obvious. More on that near the end!
This looks like a conversation between Gamora and Tony, but the background on Tony’s side is clearly Strange’s house. So Tony is probably talking to Doctor Strange, and Gamora is talking to the Guardians of the Galaxy plus Thor.
Thanos taking the helmet off!
So cool.
At this point he only has the Space Stone.
He’s wearing the regular suit, not the Iron Spider.
So this must be a serious emergency.
Bursting out of a school bus like that would give away that he’s Spider-Man in one shot lol
What on earth is going on here…
That round ship is apparently called a Q-Ship.
Here’s Tony chasing the Q-Ship as it leaves New York.
Though whether it’s actually leaving New York is honestly debatable lol
Here’s why. Tony’s suit here is obviously the new model, and the new one uses nanomachines, so it can reshape itself into all kinds of forms.
After watching Black Panther, the natural conclusion is that the tech came from Shuri of Wakanda.
And in the earlier trailer, the new suit’s design is already visible on Tony’s chest.
Two assumptions:
Which means Shuri and Tony hadn’t met when the Q-Ship arrived in New York. So this new Iron Man suit is either technology Tony worked out himself, or there’s been contact between Tony and Wakanda that we don’t know about.
Use the thing Thanos wants
to lure him in.
Between what the filmmakers have said and this scene, the plan is clear: park the Time Stone and the Mind Stone in Wakanda and use them as bait to draw Thanos in.
Let’s sort out who’s in this shot.
My read is that after Civil War Cap was quietly supporting counter-terrorism work, staying off the government’s radar.
In trailer 1, he catches a spear out of the dark and reunites with Wanda.
The arrival in Wakanda in trailer 2 probably comes after that exchange.
I think Cap and Wanda meet up in Sokovia, which is Wanda’s home country.
It’s confirmed that taking Vision to Wakanda was Cap’s idea. So my guess at the flow is this: Wanda and Vision are living in Sokovia, the enemy turns up, Cap saves them, and they decide to head for Wakanda.
The two who ended up on the run from the government after Civil War.
These two probably work with Cap sometimes and go solo other times.
As I said in the Cap section, Scarlet Witch is probably living in Sokovia. And going by Spider-Man: Homecoming, Vision is with Tony but slips off to see her now and then.
Also worth noting: the Mind Stone is still sitting in his forehead.
He got taken by Sanctuary II at the end of Ragnarok.
So the route is Sanctuary II → New York → Wakanda.
Ohhhhh~~~
I assumed Wakanda was where his spine would get fixed. Didn’t expect him walking already…
Look closely and there’s something like a brace on his legs.
Did Tony build that?
Tony would do anything for his best friend, so probably yes.
The interesting part is that this exact group comes off the ship together.
Where and how did they all join up?
This lineup obviously has Tony’s fingerprints on it, and once you think that, the exchange between him and Cap gets very interesting indeed.
A war council, maybe?
Vision’s body is made of vibranium, so this is Shuri’s home turf.
The place the Guardians of the Galaxy set down looks like Knowhere from Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Collector, who is the Grandmaster’s brother, has the Aether — one of the Infinity Stones, from The Dark World. That has to be why they’re there.
Two of a kind? lol
Tony and Quill bouncing off each other is going to be so good.
Come to think of it, Spider-Man and Quill are both called Peter lol
The ones flying and running are the group that just landed in Wakanda.
Close-quarters fighting backed up by Wakandan tech looks like it’ll be over in an instant.
Outriders (Race) — Marvel Wiki
These swarming enemies are aliens called Outriders. They’re basically the infantry of Thanos’ army.
Bucky, who turned up at the end of Black Panther.
Will he and Tony and Cap finally settle things?
And will we find out why he was being called White Wolf?
People are saying the way this Hulkbuster moves means Hulk is inside it.
Dr. Banner was building a Hulkbuster back in trailer 1, so it’s definitely possible.
Thor seems to be travelling with Rocket and Groot of all people!
From the layout, is it a Guardians ship? I have no idea where they are.
Being able to steer lightning with one hand is incredible.
He’s grown completely since Ragnarok.
There was a round design inside too, so this has to connect to the scene where he and Rocket are trying to start — or stop — that device.
There’s a downed Q-Ship.
This is the planet Tony was on in trailer 1.
There’s also something floating faintly behind Tony.
The shape looked like a Nova Corps ship, so I’d been predicting that Tony’s planet was Xandar.
But according to the filmmakers, it’s Titan, Thanos’ home world.
So those faint floating shapes were Titan’s architecture lol
Titan appears to be a dead world.
For details, see the site below.
https://theriver.jp/iw-thanos-motivation/
And on top of that, Thanos apparently slams Titan’s own moon into the planet!!!
That is going to be one hell of a shot.
Source below.
A flashback scene.
Gamora’s home world, maybe? Something happened, Thanos took the planet, and Gamora became his adopted daughter — something along those lines.
I love this scene.
Because somewhere inside Gamora are memories of the time when he was her father.
In trailer 1, this is the scene that matches up with it.
I thought the lower scene was Kamar-Taj, but after Ragnarok and the rest they’ve started to look like Asgardians to me lol
And I’ve been factoring in Proxima holding a spear point to Loki as well.
Here’s my prediction for these scenes.
Something like that.
What bothers me is that Loki doesn’t show up anywhere outside these individual scenes.
Personally, Loki’s betrayals have already been done to death, and there’s a spear at his throat, so “Loki was on Thanos’ side all along” feels weak. Which makes me think he might just get killed.
Cap’s new weapons look like a pair of vibranium shields!
But he’ll be back to that round shield by the end lol
First time Doctor Strange has assisted anyone like this!
The camera whirls right around — this is going to be the kind of scene that makes you shout out loud!
Is that purple light Thanos attacking with the Power Stone?
What Wanda is looking at in the first shot has to be Vision.
Probably the scene where Vision’s Mind Stone gets taken from him.
Next is Doctor Strange being tortured by Ebony Maw. Probably on Titan.
Look closely and the things stabbing into Doctor Strange are made of Dark Dimension energy, the same power that showed up in Doctor Strange.
Which makes it very likely that Ebony Maw wields the Dark Dimension.
Hulk climbing out of that would be an incredible moment.
The trailer cuts from the fist swinging up on Titan straight into Wakanda.
And in the standoff with Cap the Power Stone is already set in the Gauntlet, which points to a very interesting timeline.
Steve Rogers is retiring in Avengers 4.
What is he going to give us before then?
Spider-Man thinking “Doctor Strange” is a superhero name lol
They get on well in the comics too, so expectations are very high lol
As the trailers show, the film splits into three teams.
These three teams look like they’ll join forces to take Thanos down.
And the Black Order will head out to each location and fight.
The strategy is probably for each team to get to an Infinity Stone before Thanos and hold on to it.
Also worth noticing: every team has its own brilliant engineer. Shuri, Tony Stark and Rocket.

Children of Thanos revealed.
— Louis D’Esposito (@louisde2), July 15, 2017
In the comics, the Black Order are the lieutenants who serve Thanos.
Let me run through them.
The profiles are quoted from the site below.
https://www33.atwiki.jp/studentx/pages/890.html
The first of the five to be chosen, and Thanos’ favourite. Cruel, arrogant, and the most loyal of them. He betrayed his own people to follow Thanos.
Powers: strength and speed. Immortal as long as the extradimensional blade in his hand remains unbroken.
The most savage of the generals. A predator in every sense, and the strongest warrior in Thanos’ army.
Powers: close-quarters combat. Her thrown spear becomes three black beams and never misses.
Ordinary compared with the rest of the Black Order. He puts on a contented face, but he’s a born nihilist.
Powers: strength and durability.
Background unknown. She has layered telepathic abilities and absorbs the intelligence of others. She is in constant mental contact with Thanos.
Powers: mental parasitism. She reads and controls the minds of others.
Probably not in this film.
Neither a warrior nor a schemer. He scatters lies everywhere he goes. He looks like the weakest of the five, but he’s actually the most dangerous.
Powers: believed to have none. But everything about him could be a lie.
He controls Doctor Strange in the comics too.
The only goal I know he has
is to wipe out half the galaxy.
If all the Infinity Stones end up in his hands,
he can do it with a snap of his fingers.
That’s Gamora’s line.
In the comics
He wants to kill on a massive scale for a woman called Death.
In this film
He has to kill half of everything to keep the universe in balance.
The detailed motive appears to be this.
“The thing he feared most comes true — the planet (Titan) and everyone on it are wiped out. He swears he’ll never let this happen again, and he comes to believe the universe is heading for extinction. That life spreading without limit will destroy the universe and take life with it.”
— quoted from the site below
https://theriver.jp/iw-thanos-motivation/
Oh!!! Wait!! That’s the same motive as the Anti-Spiral in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!!!!
For anyone who doesn’t know it: the final boss of the anime Gurren Lagann is an alien called the Anti-Spiral, who ruled the universe to stop life from overflowing across it.
And under Gurren Lagann’s own rules it’s genuinely true that the universe collapses if life overflows. So the Anti-Spiral’s motive did hold up, in its way.
Exactly the same motive lol
I love Gurren Lagann, but it ends with the Anti-Spiral beaten and the overflowing-life problem left hanging. That always bothered me.
Thanos in this film is supposed to be extremely intelligent, with a lot about him you can sympathise with.
If his goal isn’t wrong, then how the Avengers solve it is going to be fascinating.
As this video shows, there’s an Easter egg where the initial letters of the Infinity Stones spell THANOS.
As for the last one:
The Adam Warlock (HIM) theory.
The Heimdall (HEIMDALL) theory.
The Black Panther heart-shaped herb (HERB) theory.
And plenty more. But the fun part is near the end of the video: every stone is carried by a major MCU character.
By that rule, the Soul Stone being Black Panther’s herb does make sense. Still, for me the lead of the MCU is Iron Man, so it ought to be Tony Stark who carries it.
Which makes me think the Soul Stone is tied to Tony’s father, Howard Stark.
Howard was killed by the Winter Soldier, and that’s what set Civil War off.
So I’m hoping Howard’s story comes back around and Cap and Iron Man finally make peace.
