The key points I want to pick out from episode 4 of the MCU show Moon Knight, which dropped on Wednesday 20 April, plus the analysis, the explanations, the Easter eggs and predictions for where all of this goes next. Above all I’ll be writing about the third personality and the god in the final scene!
This post runs briefly through the things that caught my eye on a first viewing and the Easter eggs, and then gets into the analysis.

Started shooting all sorts of things for fun lately. The camera is an α7 IV — shoot in RAW, edit in Lightroom, that kind of thing.
This time it was Ueno.
In episode 3 there was a killing that neither Marc nor Steven had any memory of! And in episode 4 the secret Marc had been hiding from Layla came to light. It was about her father, exactly as predicted. Marc said his partner was blinded by greed and did the killing, but taking episode 3 and the rest into account, I think it may well be the other personality. There are other things that look like foreshadowing for that other personality too.
The first one is in the first image above: when Steven was hunting for Ammit’s ushabti, the one goading him may not have been Marc but the other personality.
The other is the decisive piece of foreshadowing — in that psychiatric hospital inside the mind, there was a second sarcophagus besides Steven’s. The air around it was sinister and it was a bit scary lol. Surely that is exactly the other personality being locked away, isn’t it?
The one who lived as Ammit’s avatar in ancient times and was buried together with Ammit was Alexander the Great! The others were Thutmose II and Nefertiti! And Alexander the Great is that hugely famous king of Greece and Egypt!
Alexander III, commonly known as Alexander the Great, was the basileus of the Kingdom of Macedon under the Argead dynasty in ancient Greece. He was also hegemon of the League of Corinth and Pharaoh of Egypt. Said to be descended from Heracles and Achilles, he was born with the highest ancestral honour in Greece.

Alexander the Great was in the Kingdom of Macedon, so the moment Steven saw the Macedonian language he knew straight away it was Alexander’s tomb!
Out came the sorcerer Heka, clearing out intruders since ancient times lol
A seriously long-lived, mysterious creature, but it looks like there’s no more follow-up on it than that lol
Personally I want to know all about what it really is. The scene where Helena gets dragged off was quite a shock lol
That modern feel to the psychiatric hospital inside the mind, after being shot by Harrow — really good. It reminded me of Legion, the show about Professor X’s son lol
In TV dramas you often get the bit where a patient is pretending to be the doctor, but that didn’t come up this time lol
When it comes to Egyptian hippo gods, that’s Taweret. And apparently Taweret also goes by another name, Hathor! So it looks like the woman who helped out in episode 3 is coming back to help again here!! Brought back to life by her special ability, maybe? Can’t wait.
