This time I thought I’d write about trailer 1 for Star Wars Episode VIII!!

[Episode VIII Predictions #2] Star Wars: The Last Jedi [Star Wars Analysis]
An unusually bright red title.
Maybe it points to the presence of the Sith?
And the red outlining is suggestive too.
Normally the title would surely be a single flat red, though.
This outlining must mean something about the content of the film as well.
Let’s get straight to trailer 1 below, which went up at midnight!!
Fiiiiiiiiiiinally, a trailer!!
I’d thought it might come later than this, but this early…
Trailer 2 is probably June or thereabouts?
Or maybe later.
Key points
As always, let’s go through the trailer shot by shot!
Rey training in the Force.
Looks like it’s going pretty well.
The rate she’s come on since her Force awakened in Episode VII is amazing.
Same as Luke, she’s training from her late teens, and yet her rate of growth is in a different league.
Maybe she really is a reincarnation of Anakin, or Darth Sidious, or someone like that?
Kylo Ren’s mask, destroyed.
The result of his dark side being strengthened by Snoke, the boss of the First Order, perhaps?
For what it’s worth, I’m a believer in the theory that Snoke is Darth Plagueis, the master of Darth Sidious.
Plagueis’s power is the ability to bring living things back to life.
Officially it’s been announced that Plagueis died, but I think bringing himself back to life would be easy enough for a man like Plagueis.
I’d love it if loads of ancient Sith Lords were resurrected in Episode VIII lol
Every episode so far has been characterised by the enemy always being one Dark Lord, or at most two, but I’m trusting that this one overturns that lol
Balance is always the keyword.
In Episode VI, Anakin Skywalker — or rather Darth Vader — brought balance between the Sith and the Jedi (with the result that both were all but wiped out).
But Episode VII hinted at the Sith returning, so I think a saviour, meaning Rey, was born to bring balance once again.
And on top of that, it seems Rey and Luke meet for the first time in Episode VIII
What’s that about, I wonder.
A training scene.
A salt planet, maybe.
Why are they laying down red smoke?
But hold on.
Look closely and the smoke is coming out from this planet’s ground being scraped.
What’s that about?
Finn, for some reason, in an escape pod?
Han Solo was frozen in Episode V too, so maybe this is an homage to that?
Where he came from, and whether he’s secretly a Force user — want to know both as soon as possible.
Rey with a slightly frightening face, and Ren with a gentle one.
So will it go the way the rumours say after all — Rey falling to the dark, Ren waking up to justice?
I do hope the predictions get subverted in the best way.
Rey’s lightsaber is Anakin’s.

This must be the footage of the past that was talked about in Episode VII.
Where did the other members of the Knights of Ren go…
My prediction:
members of the Knights of Ren = resurrected ancient Sith
— that’s what Snoke is trying to turn them into, maybe.
A bit too much of a Kingdom Hearts feel to that one? lol
The Jedi will end
I’m curious whether this line is “There is only one truth, the Jedi will end,” or whether something follows on after it, like “There is only one truth, the Jedi will end, so you’re the one who has to do something about it.”
So what is THE LAST JEDI?
Hmmm~~~
