Hello!! It’s boiling out there!! Not long now until Spider-Man!! Want to see it already!!!
*Note: I’ll be writing analysis, predictions and the like. There are spoilers for the MCU up to now as well.
My previous predictions post is here ↓ though I wrote it on 24 May 2018, so the information is on the old side lol

As it turns out, this film belongs to Phase 3, not Phase 4. I had assumed at first that Endgame was the end of Phase 3 too.
In terms of where it sits, it’s apparently a monologue of a film — not only about where Spider-Man goes from here, but about how people have changed, since Endgame changed the universe so much.
The comics have a concept called the multiverse!
It’s the so-called parallel worlds idea.
Recently there was the animated film Spider-Verse, which went and won an Academy Award. The premise runs something like this: a hole opens between dimensions, and because of it Spider-Men from other worlds come through.
The MCU has never had a multiverse like this up to now, but
apparently “that battle” in Endgame opened a rift between dimensions, and Quentin Beck / Mysterio came through it.
With the 20th Century Fox acquisition, the MCU has officially confirmed that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are joining.
And here there’s a problem. It’s the existence of mutants. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the like did at least depict the Inhumans, people who acquired their powers after birth. But mutants are born that way, so if mutants suddenly appear in the MCU, you get the problem of why they weren’t there in any of the MCU’s entries so far.
So, this is only my prediction, but I’m guessing they either come from another world, or the hole between dimensions means that mutants start being born in the MCU’s world — something like that?
According to Kevin Feige it apparently takes a few years for them to join the MCU, so let’s settle in and wait patiently.
A live-action Spider-Verse, obviously, but I’d also love the two actors who led the earlier live-action Spider-Man films to turn up!

Personally I’d want Tobey Maguire to play Uncle Ben, though lol
The possibility of a crossover with the DC side, Superman and Batman and the rest, has opened up too!
As I’ve said in other posts, a Loki spin-off series is due to stream on Disney+ (Disney Deluxe in Japan). My thinking is that the story probably follows Loki, who stole the Tesseract in Endgame, up to the point where he puts the Tesseract back where it belongs. Does the multiverse tie into this part as well, I wonder? Looking forward to it.
His position in this film is “Peter’s new mentor”. Will he become the emotional support for a Peter left heartbroken by the loss of Tony Stark…??? Or is he a villain, the same as in the comics…???
My prediction is that Mysterio is, in a sense, the villain of this film after all.
Let me explain what I mean. The birth of the multiverse concept opened up the possibility that there’s a doppelgänger in another world who looks exactly like you.
So my read is that the Quentin Beck / Mysterio who came from another world is a good man, and that the Quentin Beck of Peter’s world, this world, is the villain. The flow would be
That’s my prediction lol
Hope it lands~
The thinking behind it: if the Mysterio who came from another world turned out to be evil, the mental damage to a Peter who’s only just lost Tony would be brutal — and that’s how I ended up with a prediction like this.
Because of Endgame, half of all life in the universe was gone for five years. Which means that, relatively speaking, half of everyone ended up five years apart in age. Going by the trailer, Peter’s main classmates were — luckily(?) — among those Thanos erased for five years, so they look like they’re still in the same school year as him.
This is a prediction, but I think Liz Toomes, the female lead of Spider-Man: Homecoming, wasn’t erased and has aged five years.
The reason being that the actress above is six years apart in real age from Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, so I wonder whether the casting was done with Thanos’s snap already in mind.
On top of that, I think Miles Morales, pictured above, might end up in the same class as Peter. The thing is, the man who showed up in Spider-Man: Homecoming is Miles’s uncle.
He says something about his nephew during Homecoming, so Miles existing in this world must be a lock. Which means Miles, who was in the upper years at school back in Homecoming, could survive the snap and enrol at Peter’s high school — a development like that might be on the cards lol
Sadly it doesn’t look like they’ll turn up this time either…
In Spider-Man 3, please. Want to see a live-action Sinister Six already…

All sorts of suits turn up in this one! It’s just like the PS4 game, which makes me very happy!

A team-up with Deadpool doesn’t look like it’s happening in the next film, at least… But relations between Marvel and Sony seem good at the moment, so a crossover with Venom and the like further down the line looks like a real possibility!!!
The 20th Century Fox side apparently takes a fair while to fold in, but I’d love them to push through and get Deadpool in too!
The Elementals who appear in this film seem to be high-dimensional beings, almost like concepts! I’d like them mixed in nicely with the Spider-Man comics characters who have similar powers — Hydro-Man, Sandman and the rest.
And rather than monsters that just roar, I’d like them to possess humans or something, to give the characters some depth~!
Not long now until release!!! Can’t wait to see it!!!!!
