[MCU Analysis, Explanation & Review] She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 9 [Impressions & Easter Eggs]
KEVIN, Hulk’s son, a wrap-up of the finale and Daredevil, all out of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 9, which dropped on Thursday, 13 October 2022! I’m writing up all of that plus where this goes next.
In this post I’ll run briefly through the things that caught my eye on a first viewing and the Easter eggs, and then get into the analysis.

A recent hobby

Easter eggs, trivia and analysis
A parody of the Hulk TV show
This week’s opening was a parody of The Incredible Hulk, the show that ran from 1977 to 1982! Honestly, first time through I laughed so hard lol
Off to Abomination’s place
Jennifer had been through an awful time, but none of the friends around her would help, so off she went to Emil Blonsky, better known as Abomination.
Back at episode 1 I couldn’t have predicted this would happen at all, so it’s a genuine surprise lol
Glad Abomination wasn’t on HulkKing’s side, but getting sent back to prison because he’d been transforming during his talks is a bit sad lol
Well, it turned out fine though…
The end credits
I’d been looking forward to whatever was going to happen in the end credits, and then it turns out to be Wong and Abomination having a chat, of all things lol
How many guest appearances does that make for Wong by now? lol
The two of them together were great. The wi-fi password business and all the rest of it.
Who HulkKing really is
HulkKing turns out to be Todd Phelps, of all people!!!
Seriously! That was a total surprise! I was absolutely certain it would be the Leader from The Incredible Hulk lol
And the impressive part is that he’s used Jennifer’s blood to make a superhuman serum that turns you into a Hulk safely — incredible lol
The absurd turn the season finale takes
A show’s final episode means the whole cast turning up at once! Here that’s Abomination, Hulk, Titania and the rest!
And this show’s finale sends up that exact stock formula lol
It’s been a long time since I laughed this much — that funny.
Breaking the fourth wall
Furious at the ridiculous direction the finale is taking, Jennifer goes and smashes the fourth wall, straight into Assembled, another Disney+ show.
And then she takes it directly to the show’s writers and producer Kevin Feige, demanding the plot be fixed lol lol lol
Mickey Mouse
The place Jennifer ends up in looks like it’s the Disney studio lot, and there was Mickey!!
KEVIN, the Knowledge Enhanced Visual Interconnectivity Nexus
Kevin Feige finally appearing on screen!? — or so I thought, and then it turns out Kevin is already an AI, and the real thing behind the name is the Knowledge Enhanced Visual Interconnectivity Nexus, known as KEVIN lol Far too much lol lol
The scene where they want her to drop the She-Hulk business because the CG compositing makes it too expensive was the best lol
Rewriting the finale
Taking it straight to KEVIN gets the final episode rewritten! Mainly
- Todd turning into a Hulk is undone
- Hulk’s appearance is undone
- Abomination is made to answer for what he did as well
- Daredevil comes back
That was the lot. Glad the Hulks don’t just keep multiplying. And glad Daredevil’s return means Jennifer gets rescued at the end.
Plus the dig at how many MCU characters have daddy issues, and the when-are-the-X-Men-coming line — nothing but meta gags, and genuinely funny lol
KEVIN being mean
KEVIN being mean and telling her they’ll meet in a film made me laugh. Though a brief appearance in the next Avengers film does look likely!
How the rewrite turns out
The rewritten finale gets HulkKing arrested. And going by the illustrations over the ending, the trial looks like it went Jennifer’s way too. Good, good.
Daredevil returns
Daredevil was surely finished after episode 8 last week — and then here he is again lol And on top of that he’s meeting Jennifer’s family, so the two of them have got a fair way along lol
Do these two end up together at this rate?? Would be great to see the pairing turn up again in the new MCU show Daredevil: Born Again~~
Hulk’s son!!!
The reason Hulk had gone to Sakaar turns out to be his son, Skaar!!!! Seriously!???
Hulk having a son, of all things… He was in love with Black Widow, so it came as a surprise lol Though he was in Hulk form the whole time on Sakaar, so it looks like that’s when it happened. But that can’t have been a full 10 years ago… Skaar is far too big, isn’t he. What’s going on there??
In the comics the setup is as below.
So Banner himself had no idea, but there was a child after all, and the grown-up appearance is down to the Hulk blood? Something like that, presumably. Another candidate added to the Young Avengers!

How Abomination was able to transform
As for how Abomination was quietly transforming, it looks like it was down to him putting the monitoring device around a chicken’s neck lol
