Speaking of him, lately it’s this film!
And Vulture is in it as well!!!!
Which means the villain team the Sinister Six turning up is looking more and more likely!!
The Sinister Six
A six-strong villain team of Spider-Man’s enemies, going back to 1964.
It has been put together several times over the years with the members changing.

Let me run through the original line-up plus Scorpion.
Doctor Octopus
He was the main villain of the old Spider-Man 2!
A super-genius scientist who works four mechanical arms!
He hasn’t turned up in the MCU yet.
Mysterio
His appearance is a lock, and he’s played by Jake Gyllenhaal!
He’s a small-time character who abuses the kind of special effects used in films to pull off robberies and the like, but with Gyllenhaal playing him he looks like he could turn into a major villain!
Maybe he uses alien technology to throw illusions at you and so on?
Electro
He can generate an enormous amount of electricity, and his standard method is to attack by firing off electrical blasts. He can also drain electricity out of his surroundings. On top of that, at maximum output the blast can not only electrocute someone to death but even break down Spider-Man’s webbing.

An electricity user, and seriously strong!
Kraven the Hunter
Overview Kraven the Hunter is a character who appears mainly in the Spider-Man comics.
He was a famous hunter who built up his experience in Africa and elsewhere.
He is the half-brother of Chameleon, the first villain Spider-Man ever fought.
He burns with an obsession for “hunting” Spider-Man.Abilities
He is a human trained to the point where he can take down wild beasts bare-handed, but not to a level you could call a special ability.
He does, though, use a secret African potion to enhance his physical abilities and his five senses. Because he keeps taking it, his ageing is held back.
He also uses a different potion as a paralysing agent.
And his experience as a hunter makes him outstanding at tracking and at survival skills.

He’s just an ordinary human!! But! With all that experience he puts his opponents through hell!!
Feels like a character who’d show up in Black Panther lol
Sandman
A villain who was in Spider-Man 3 as well!
His body is made of sand, and he can go giant too!
Vulture — Adrian Toomes
And would you believe it — he’s in the second film too!
Did he survive the snap, then?
In the first film he found out Spider-Man’s identity and kept up the pretence of not knowing in front of Mac Gargan and the other crooks — looking forward to seeing how that feeds in.
Scorpion / Mac Gargan
Near the end of the first Spider-Man there was that criminal who asked Toomes (Vulture) about Spider-Man’s identity.
His name is Mac Gargan, and he’s a villain.
In the comics he’s the villain Scorpion, and he puts Spider-Man through it with acid and the like.
There’s a big chance he turns up as a villain in the second film.
He’s got an injured left eye — wonder if there’s some reason behind that.
What about the Osborn family??
Norman Osborn
Spider-Man’s greatest nemesis.
On his first appearance he was an unidentified villain, the Green Goblin.
It then took nearly two years before the name “Norman Osborn” was revealed.
He is also the father of Harry Osborn, the best friend Peter Parker met at university. As the Green Goblin he murdered Peter Parker’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy.
Immediately afterwards he mishandled his glider during a fight with Spider-Man and died, but he was later brought back. He even fathered secret twins with Gwen, and set them on Peter’s life.https://www33.atwiki.jp/studentx/pages/452.html
He was the main villain of the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man!
He hasn’t appeared in the MCU yet, but he’s a hugely popular villain, so it would be great to have him in.
And in the comics he has even taken the director’s seat at S.H.I.E.L.D., the body that commands the Avengers, used his political muscle to hijack the Avengers, and run what looked on the outside like hero work as the Dark Avengers, a team made up of villains.
At that point Norman was wearing the Iron Patriot armour, centre of the image.
I’d love to see that setup worked neatly into the MCU~
Harry Osborn
The best friend of Peter Parker, otherwise known as Spider-Man, and the son of Norman Osborn, otherwise known as the Green Goblin.
His father Norman was a company president who was almost never home, a textbook workaholic who reckoned that handing over expensive presents counted as showing affection. When he first met Peter at university his role was to tease him, but while he was agonising over a father whose personality had changed overnight on becoming the Green Goblin, he learned about Peter’s home situation, having lost both parents, and their friendship deepened. He appears in both the live-action Sam Raimi films and the Amazing ones, and dies in them.
Would really love him in the MCU too, but unlike the other film versions, it’d be nice for him to stay a best friend from start to finish.
Also, in the animated version he even becomes a villain(?) called Toxin lol
The Osborns are such hugely popular characters for Marvel that their MCU entry is all but certain, but if they show up the other villains stop standing out, so if they do appear it’d be the third MCU Spider-Man film, maybe? Feels like Harry Osborn could turn up as the roommate once Peter Parker is at university lol
Does it connect to Venom??
There’s quite a lot of encouraging talk around the MCU and Sony’s Venom, so it looks likely to connect!!

The problem
As things stand, the villains lined up for the second film are Vulture, Mysterio and Scorpion (not stated outright).
And apparently the setting goes beyond New York as well.
With a line-up like that the Sinister Six does keep flickering into view, but there’s a problem here.
And that problem is how to depict the villains being born.
Kraven the Hunter is easy enough to bring in — a hunter from Wakanda who takes an interest in Spider-Man and comes to hunt him, something along those lines — but with Doctor Octopus you first have to do him developing the robot arms, having an accident, his mind going, and turning criminal, and with Electro and Sandman you have to do each of them getting caught in a radioactive accident and their bodies changing.
Which means there’s a real chance a quarter of the film goes on villain origins alone. Maybe more…
Then again, Homecoming skipped the episode of Peter Parker getting bitten by the spider, so maybe Sandman and Doctor Octopus get skipped as well?
And the whole picking up superpowers from a radioactive accident thing looks like it’d get a different explanation in the MCU’s world lol. Something like being modified by aliens, or their bodies changing when they came back to life after dying in Thanos’s snap lol
And since it’s apparently set a few minutes after Avengers 4, how Thanos’s snap and everything that happened in Avengers 4 affect the world is a huge thing to look forward to.
Either way, seriously looking forward to it!!!
