The Leader groundwork laid in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 3, which dropped on Thursday 1 September 2022 — a rundown of the episode plus the key points, the analysis, the Easter eggs and where all of this goes next.

A recent hobby

Easter eggs, trivia and analysis

Is the villain of this one the Leader??

The ones who came after Jennifer were a bunch armed with tools (?) taken from the Asgardian construction workers. Looks like they were after a sample of Jennifer’s blood. And it seems they were acting on someone else’s orders too. Sure enough, just as Bruce Banner said back in episode 1, there did look to be all kinds of uses for her blood.

The one pulling the strings here is probably Samuel Sterns from The Incredible Hulk, I think! He hasn’t turned up since the end of that Hulk film, where his head swelled up from Hulk’s blood.

So a comeback in this show seems very much on the cards

One of Hulk’s archenemies. Originally an uneducated man working as a labourer at a chemical research facility, he was caught in an explosion of chemicals and exposed to gamma rays. His body wasn’t strengthened the way Bruce Banner’s (Hulk’s) was, but his brain was enhanced and enlarged, and he gained superhuman intelligence. In the comics he’s a villain who goes by the name the Leader. So who on earth is the boss that the one who attacked She-Hulk was talking about… really want to know!

There are no cameos

Saying there’s no way there’d be a cameo every week, and then Wong and Megan turn up after all — makes me laugh

And yet not so long ago sorcerers existing at all was urban-legend territory lol

The MeToo movement

Jennifer getting torn into as a backlash against the MeToo movement felt real. Exactly the sort of thing that could happen for real.

Runa the shapeshifter

The daughter of an Asgardian diplomat causing a public stir was great fun. You’d think diplomatic immunity would keep her from being arrested, but apparently it doesn’t go that way.

And the judge’s point that Asgard is a word for a people rather than a word for a place — that was a lovely touch

The ultra-high-security prison

Abomination’s soulmates — his partners — being pure Midsommar made me laugh.

Going by the ending, it looks like they’ve been dropped for the time being?

Abomination’s life in prison being so very cultured made me laugh. Taking the guards’ family problems on board, teaching reading and writing, meditating, keeping up a correspondence lol

Makes me wonder what kind of life the other villains are having in there.
