A recent hobby
Started shooting all sorts of things for fun lately. The camera is an α7 IV — shoot in RAW, edit in Lightroom, that kind of thing.
This time it was Hakone.
Episode 6, “Gods and Monsters”
The third personality, Jake Lockley
Just like the comics, there really was a third personality! And his name is Jake Lockley!!
There were plenty of things pointing at a third personality — the killings he wasn’t aware of in episode 2, the mysterious sarcophagus in episode 4! But in the comics he’s only a taxi driver, not a gruesome killing machine like this, so that change is a shock…!
Harrow and Ammit die
Harrow ends up sealed away alive, so I did wonder whether that meant a return further down the line…? But in the end Khonshu and Jake settle it properly! He was a patient in the psychiatric hospital, and yet he could hold a conversation with Khonshu perfectly well, so there’s a strong chance he was putting it on. Khonshu in a suit looked unbelievably good…
Ammit revived
Ammit turned out to be a fairly endearing crocodile and honestly rather cute lol
Growing to a huge size by draining people’s souls, though — didn’t see that coming lol The kaiju battle with Khonshu was great fun!
A lot of the avatars die
The avatars of the other gods who turned up in episode 3 are sadly dead.. Would love an Egyptian Avengers or something along those lines to appear later on!
Marc and Steven’s friendship
Those two got on so badly at the start, and here they are helping each other out and working together in a fight — genuinely moving… Want to see more of their story~
Taweret’s avatar
Layla becoming Taweret’s avatar, of all things…!!! Feels like a hero who doesn’t exist in the comics at all! Twists that surprise you precisely because you know the MCU’s source material are so good!! Got a bit of a Falcon and a bit of a Wonder Woman feel to her! So cool!
After finishing episode 6
What’s next? Is there a season 2?
As things stand, Moon Knight is complete with season 1! But there were elements leading onward, Jake’s arrival among them, so Moon Knight himself will surely keep turning up! Personal prediction, but if a show ever happens with Black Knight as the lead — Dane Whitman, Sersi’s boyfriend from Eternals — he feels like the sort who’d show up in it lol
The grave-robbing case
Marc said the one who killed Abdallah El-Faouly was one of his fellow grave robbers. Still, my own guess is that it feels like Jake, the third personality, was the one who did it..!!!
Genuinely such a good show!!
