[MCU Analysis, Explanation & Review] Moon Knight Episode 2 (MOONKNIGHT) [Impressions & Easter Eggs]
The key points I want to pick out from episode 2 of the MCU show Moon Knight, which dropped on Wednesday 6 April, plus the analysis, the explanations, the Easter eggs and predictions for where all of this goes next. Above all I’ll be writing about things like Arthur’s aims and who he really is.
This post runs briefly through the things that caught my eye on a first viewing and the Easter eggs, and then gets into the analysis.

A recent hobby
Started shooting all sorts of things for fun lately. The camera is an α7 IV — shoot in RAW, edit in Lightroom, that kind of thing.

Episode 2, “Summon the Suit”
Steven and Marc / the difference between the suits
Steven and Marc finally come face to face! It seems something has thrown the balance of the wall between the two of them out of shape, leaving whichever one holds control of the body overwhelmingly on top. Really curious about what threw that balance off
The enemy’s aim and who he is
The enemy’s aim turned out to be “the resurrection of Ammit”! And that scarab is what he wants in order to pull it off. And, astonishingly, it seems Arthur was Khonshu’s previous Avatar! Well, they have changed a fair bit from the comics! No telling where this ends up…

The cult leader who presses Spector to accept the darkness inside him. It seems he passes judgement on whether a person is wicked from their past, present and future the moment he takes their hand. The judgement out of Egyptian mythology, exactly! But with no Time Stone anywhere, how is he doing it? Would be fun if it connects to the show Loki
And Layla turns out to be Marc Spector’s wife! She’s so pretty. I think the base is Marlene Alraune from the comics, but I wonder why they changed her. Maybe she becomes a Moon Knight too!?

The staging is Morbius
This lighting effect being pure Morbius made me laugh
Morbius was good fun too, so I want to write it up!
Off to Egypt
Next week the setting is Egypt! And since this world is the MCU, I can’t help expecting some kind of surprise! The Hulk turning up to give advice on split personalities, say! Looking forward to it
